Japanese father Shinji Kojima (not his real name) a company employee, Ms. Suzuki who does not want to disclose her full name for fear of retribution, is still married but was shut out of the family house and hasn't seen her children for more than a year, and French father Vincent Fichot whose hunger strike nearly 20 days outside the Olympic Stadium (during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games) garnered international attention. He also met with the staff of French President Emmanuel Macron, who said he raised the issue with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
