Japanese mountaineer and university student Marin Minamiya (20) speaks at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan on February 14, 2017, Tokyo, Japan. Minamiya became the youngest Japanese mountaineer to complete the Seven Summits (the highest mountains on each of the seven continents) after conquering the summit of Denali (Mount McKinley) on July 4, 2016. Minamiya spoke of her plans to reach the North Pole this spring, and to break the record of the youngest person in the world to complete the Explorers Grand Slam.
