This year the Chinese Lunar New Year falls on January 28th, and Japanese companies expect a wave of foreign visitors (especially from China, South Korea and Taiwan) during the holiday period. In 2016, the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan was a record 24 million with 26.5% or 6.37 million coming from China, followed by 5.09 million from South Korea and 4.17 million Taiwan.
